“Spanking and Poetry” Conference

Hello and welcome to the “Spanking and Poetry” blog. Allen, Tracy, and I (Margaret) are very excited to be organizing a two-day conference that seeks to extend the work of Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick. We’ll be setting up a variety of panels of papers, but will also be putting together an art exhibit that showcases works that “combin[e] written text with other visual media,” as Sedgwick and her students explored in various iterations of her How to do Things with Words and Other Materials class. We welcome both paper proposals and art proposals.
